On approaching Ṣafā
Inna aṣ-ṣafā wa-l-marwata min shaʿāʾiri llāhi abdaʾu bimā badaʾa llāhu bih
Facing the qiblah
He climbed Ṣafā until he could see the Kaʿbah, faced the qiblah, and proclaimed Allah’s oneness and greatness:
Indeed, Ṣafā and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. I begin with what Allah began with.
Facing the qiblah
He climbed Ṣafā until he could see the Kaʿbah, faced the qiblah, and proclaimed Allah’s oneness and greatness:
There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. Allah is the Greatest.
Repeated remembrance
He then said:
There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs all dominion, and to Him belongs all praise. He has power over all things. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone. He fulfilled His promise, supported His servant, and defeated the allied forces alone.
